​I had been worried about my smile lines for a long time, and eventually I realized I couldn't keep putting it off.

I had tried fillers and other non-surgical treatments, but the results didn't last very long and weren't permanent. So I decided it was time to look for a different solution.

I'd like to share my experience of how I was able to achieve such natural-looking results.

Consultation

There are many clinics that offer treatments for smile lines, and most people recommend simple procedures such as fillers because they're quick and convenient.

However, I wanted a treatment with longer-lasting and more reliable results, so I continued researching until I found Dr. Hong at Fresh Hong Clinic.

Facial fat grafting is another common option, but because the smile line area moves constantly with facial expressions, there is a possibility that some of the transferred fat may not survive.

Instead, Dr. Hong recommended autologous dermis grafting for smile lines and carefully explained how the procedure works.

His explanation was easy to understand and gave me confidence, so I decided to go ahead with the surgery.

2. Surgery Day

The procedure was performed under IV sedation.

After waking up from anesthesia, I was able to go home the same day and continue my normal daily activities.

I took the prescribed medication, ate some porridge, and experienced very little discomfort.

3. Recovery

My stitches were removed 14 days after surgery.

The recovery period actually passed much faster than I expected.

Since I didn't experience much discomfort, I hardly thought about the recovery process.

I didn't have any bruising, although there was some swelling around the treated area.

After about one week, the major swelling gradually subsided, and the remaining minor swelling continued to improve over time until I recovered almost completely.

4. Results

As time passed and I looked in the mirror, the results looked incredibly natural.

My smile lines had improved so much that they were barely noticeable.

Autologous dermis grafting filled in the hollow smile line area beautifully.

Because my own tissue was used instead of an artificial implant, there was no foreign body sensation or discomfort.

The dermis was harvested from my buttock and transplanted into my smile lines. I was told that this is a technique developed and refined by Dr. Hong.

I'm very happy with the outcome and hope to enjoy these beautiful, natural-looking results for many years to come.
